Sunday Scaries

You’ve got the Sunday scaries (again). 

You can physically feel the discomfort in your body. 

It’s unpleasant. Unsettling. Unwelcome. 

A hamster wheel that comes around to finish off every weekend.  

A dread about the working week to come. 

What would it feel like to manage this situation and reclaim your Sundays?

Here are 10 steps to help you navigate the Sunday Scaries.

  1. Identify how you're feeling. Notice your emotions. What are they? Are they heightened or dulled? Are you willing to accept them? They are messengers, after all. 

  2. Establish what exactly it is that is of concern. Why is that? 

  3. What else?

  4. How would you like things to be?

  5. What is the potential of making a change to your situation?

  6. What choices do you have?

  7. How will you choose to move forward?

  8. What obstacles might you need to address?

  9. What support would be helpful to you?

  10. Schedule a quick win or something to look forward to tomorrow.
